Matt Willen
This will be written in english. Just because I want my friend Matt to be able to read it, even tho, he is quite good at icelandic by now. Me and Matt just met last summer on the dock here in Ísafjörður. We almost instantly became friends and he came visit my family for a dinner. That evening we spent talking about photography and the million ways to process a photograph.
We decided to keep in touch. Soon, Matt came up with an idea to make a project together about the Wesfjords, me as a local and he, as an outsider. Then he came over to Iceland last week and we spent alot of time walking around Ísafjörður and close towns just photographing what ever became in front of us and talked about this project and how to approach it. That idea we have now and we will start working on this in may, when he comes back to Iceland and stays for 3 weeks. Matt is a English Professor at Elizabethtown College in the United states.
Matt, thanks for everything, this was an interesting week, to say the least :)
